Julius Schüle Druckguss GmbH: Arndt Geiwitz appointed as provisional administrator
Protective shield proceedings initiated for long-established automotive supplier – business operations continue without restriction. On 18 September 2026, the Aalen Local Court ordered, as requested, protective shield proceedings under self-administration (Section 270d of the Insolvency Code) for Julius Schüle Druckguss GmbH. Arndt Geiwitz (chartered accountant and tax adviser, SGP Schneider Geiwitz, Ulm) was appointed as provisional administrator. He is overseeing the proceedings in the interests of the creditors and is providing constructive support for the restructuring.

Objectives of the proceedings
The primary objective of the ‘Schutzschirm’ proceedings is the sustainable restructuring and future-proofing of the family-owned company, founded in 1951, as well as the best possible preservation of jobs and the site in Schwäbisch Gmünd. The focus is on:

Why Early Crisis Communication Is Key to the Success of Restructuring
When a company finds itself in financial distress, every day counts. Yet in crisis situations, action is often taken too late, and silence is maintained for too long. In practice, attempts at turnaround and restructuring in small and medium-sized enterprises rarely fail due to a lack of strategies—the real sticking point usually lies in the fact that warning signs are overlooked, problems are swept under the rug internally, and key stakeholders are not brought on board in a timely manner. Dr. Markus Mairgünther, attorney at SGP Schneider Geiwitz & Partner PartGmbB (Augsburg und München), explains how entrepreneurs, managing directors, and turnaround consultants can build trust and initiate a turnaround through early, transparent crisis communication.
