Successful advisory for Abele during its acquisition by seele

SGP Corporate Finance successfully advised insolvency administrator Georg Stemshorn of PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH in the M&A process involving Abele Ingenieure GmbH (“Abele Ingenieure”).

Transaction

The final bid was given to the strategic buyer seele holding GmbH (“seele”) from Augsburg. Within a few weeks, we were able to transfer the company to new owners and find a promising solution for the future. Around 50 jobs will be retained as part of the asset deal involving Abele Ingenieure. seele will expand its “Automation” division with Abele Automation GmbH & Co. KG and expects strong synergies in the growth market for movable facade systems.

Abele Ingenieure was founded in 1973 and can therefore look back on over 50 years of experience as a solution provider in mechanical and plant engineering. As a full-service provider, Abele can offer everything from a single source, from the initial idea to implementation and 24/7 service. The company has a production site in the north and an engineering office in the east of Augsburg. In the wake of the Ukraine conflict and the industrial recession that followed in some areas, various projects were not approved by customers and therefore did not go ahead. As a result, the Augsburg District Court ordered provisional insolvency administration on February 13, 2025.
