Successful advisory for CamperBoys (OFF Campers) during its acquisition by VANEVER

Transaction

The final bid for the continuation of the partner- resp. software-case was granted to the strategic buyer Free Venture GmbH (Vanever). Within just a few weeks, we were able to transfer part of the company into new hands and ensure the continuation of the Hamburg site.

With the acquisition of OFF Campers and an adapted business model, Vanever aims to lay the foundation for a future-oriented camper rental concept. In response to market changes, Vanever will in future rely on a partner fleet. Vehicles will no longer be added to the company’s own inventory but will instead be provided by specialized dealers and converters and returned at the end of the season.

About CamperBoys GmbH (OFF Campers)

CamperBoys GmbH (OFF Campers) was founded in 2016 to make van life experiences more accessible. The company has evolved into a travel tech company by developing its own rental software and is a major player in the camper rental sector. “Camper rental made easy” – OFF Campers impresses with its fully digital customer service. Campers can be booked online and checked in and out via an app. However, high financing costs put pressure on the business model, leading to the filing for insolvency on October 22, 2024.
